About Gallery

The "2 Worlds" gallery is located in Krakow's old Jewish District of Kazimierz, well known as a magical place that simply buzzes with life and where the past and the present blend into one. Today, visitors can feel a new quality of life sweeping through the district fostered by the city's artistic community, the district's local inhabitants, its pub and cafe goers as well as by the large number of tourists who come here.
The Gallery held its inaugural opening on 17th June 2004 with a group exhibition that attempted to explore and highlight the interrelationships between reality, the dimensions of space, and time. The essential goal of the gallery is to "seek and combine", which it attempts to achieve through exhibitions of modern art featuring various forms of artistic expression: experimental, modern and traditional. To reach the widest group of people the gallery exhibits a wide variety of artistic media: painting, graphics, drawing, sculpture and household art.
In October 2004 the "2 Worlds Gallery" began co-operation with Hotel Amadeus with the launch of the "Art Saloon". The Saloon's inaugural showing featured an exhibition of the work of Anna and Andrzej Raczkowscy entitled "One Moment Enclosed within a Frame".
